Tandoori Chicken@The Dish Diary |
Tandoori chicken is a popular
Indian dish that is traditionally cooked in a clay oven called a tandoor. The
dish is made by marinating chicken pieces in a mixture of yogurt and spices,
such as cumin, coriander, turmeric, garlic, ginger, and chili powder, and then
roasting them in the tandoor until they are cooked through and have a slightly
charred exterior.
The yogurt in the marinade helps to tenderize the chicken, while the spices add flavor and color to the dish.Tandoori chicken is typically served with naan bread, rice, or salad, and is often accompanied by a tangy and spicy chutney made from mint, coriander, and other ingredients.
