Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef or mutton
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, finely chopped
- 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp coriander seeds
- 1 tsp red chili flakes
- 1 tsp salt, or to taste
- 2 tbsp gram flour (besan)
- 1 egg
- Oil, for shallow frying

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat with the chopped onion, tomato, green chilies, and coriander leaves.

2. In a
small skillet, dry roast the cumin seeds and coriander seeds until fragrant,
then grind them to a fine powder.
3. Add
the ground cumin and coriander, red chili flakes, salt, and gram flour to the
meat mixture, and mix well to combine.
4. Beat
the egg and add it to the mixture, and mix well to combine.
5. Shape
the mixture into small, round patties, about 3-4 inches in diameter and 1/2
inch thick.
6. Heat
oil in a shallow frying pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the
patties to the pan, and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are
browned and crispy.
7. Once
cooked, remove the patties from the pan and place them on a paper towel to
absorb any excess oil.
8. Serve
hot with naan bread, salad, and chutney.
Note: This recipe can be
adjusted to suit your taste preferences. You can add more or less spices,
adjust the amount of green chilies for a milder or spicier flavor, or use a
different type of meat if you prefer.
