Mutton Do Pyaza is a popular Indian dish made with tender mutton (goat meat) cooked with an abundance of onions. "Do Pyaza" literally translates to "two onions," indicating the generous use of onions in the recipe. The dish is known for its rich and flavorful gravy, infused with aromatic spices.

To prepare Mutton Do Pyaza, mutton pieces are typically cooked with a combination of spices, including turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. The onions play a significant role in the dish, with both sliced and finely chopped onions used at different stages of cooking. The sliced onions are usually caramelized until golden brown to impart a sweet and savory flavor, while the finely chopped onions are added along with tomatoes to form the base of the gravy.

The slow cooking process allows the mutton to become tender and absorb the flavors of the spices and onions, resulting in a succulent and aromatic dish. Mutton Do Pyaza is often garnished with fresh coriander leaves for a pop of freshness.

This hearty and flavorsome dish is commonly enjoyed with Indian breads like naan or roti, or with steamed rice. Its rich and aromatic flavors make it a favorite choice for special occasions or gatherings, and it is loved by mutton enthusiasts for its tender meat and delightful blend of spices.
