Ingredients:

 

·                1 pound spaghetti

·                1 pound ground beef

·                1 onion, diced

·                2 garlic cloves, minced

·                1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes

·                2 tablespoons tomato paste

·                1 teaspoon dried oregano

·                1 teaspoon dried basil

·                1/2 teaspoon salt

·                1/4 teaspoon black pepper

·                1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving

Instructions:

 

1.              Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

 

2.            In a large saucepan, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it up with a wooden spoon as it cooks.

 

3.            Add the onion and garlic to the saucepan and continue to cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

 

4.            Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.

 

5.            Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce and toss to combine.

 

6.             Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the spaghetti and serve with additional Parmesan cheese on the side.
