Full Recipe Instructions | How to Make – The Dish Diary

1.              In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, ginger paste, garlic paste, green chilies, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to combine.

2.              Divide the beef mixture into 8 equal portions. Flatten each portion into a thin patty and place a hard-boiled egg in the center. Carefully fold the edges of the patty around the egg to form a ball.

3.              Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Fry the kofta balls until they are golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from oil and set aside.

4.              In a separate pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until they are translucent. Add ginger paste and garlic paste and sauté for another minute.

5.              Add tomatoes, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the tomatoes have completely broken down.

6.              Add 1 cup of water to the pan and bring to a simmer. Add the fried kofta balls and let them cook in the gravy for 5-7 minutes, or until the gravy has thickened and the kofta balls are heated through.

7.              Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.
